This charming beach town is the perfect place to spend a long vacation, with many activities and excursions available. Whether you’re looking for adventure, relaxation or a little of both, Rincón has something for you.
Rincón is known for its incredible surf spots, which draw surfers from all over the world. Maria’s and Domes are just a start – with about a dozen breaks all within a few miles of each other, Rincón has a break for beginners to professionals. If you take a short drive to the towns of Aguada and Aguadilla, you’ll find even more amazing spots surrounded by stunning scenery, roadside food trucks and countless bars and restaurants.
My Favorite Local Eateries
Within a 5 minute walk from RSV, you can grab a slice of pizza and beer at Pizzeria Cafeteria Stella right on the beach, burger and wings at Lucky’s, top notch fish tacos at OneTwo.Rincon, empanadillas at the Conch Shell Bar and some of the best take-out Italian food at Linguinis Pizza & Pasta.
Head towards the plaza and you’ll pass by over a dozen food trucks offering all kinds of different options while inside the plaza you’ll find excellent pinchos, sushi, tacos, dumplings, Brazilian fare and even authentic Greek gyros.
Rincón Local Events
Rincón offers a variety of other activities. You can pick up fresh eggs and veggies at the Rincón Local Farmers Market on Sunday mornings, and the town hosts an Art Walk on Thursdays. Another must-visit is the El Faro Lighthouse which is Puerto Rico’s primer sunset spot complete with a massive mojito for just $10. Keep an eye out for classic car events like the Rincón Volky Fest, or one of the many surf competitions and music festivals.
